An underachiever is someone (such as a student, athlete, or workplace professional), who does not perform as well or work as hard as they can.

What is underachievement psychology?

Underachievement is a behavioral syndrome with underlying connections to an individual’s emotional life. This syndrome comprises behavior patterns that can result in an individual performing below their ability.
